Great food, really reasonably priced, best buffet in Pembroke

Good small town Chinese buffet. Well priced. Staff are always pleasant. The wonton soup hits the spot. They cook small batches so if its busy the popular items run out and you have to wait, but they will hurry it up if you ask. Selection could be a bit better but they have the basics. They do takeout too.

Food was fresh and very tasty.Because it was small it was constantly being renewed with fresh hot food.Great service . Nice and clean. I will definitely go back.

Prob the worst buffet I've ever gone to. Slim picking, either bland or too salty. The fruit is canned fruit, you can def tell. We will never go back

Very disappointed! Rice tasted like heavy smoke and the lemon chicken was not lemon at all. Called to complain and we were only offered more rice. My husband's birthday supper was ruined. We wont be back!

It's been my go to for buffet Chinese food for many years.Friendly and tentative staff always busy at meal time's.It's an older facility but great food.

The food is meh.

First, stay away from the buffet! Like any all-you-can-eat buffets this one goes stale. Order from the menu instead. The food is among the best in the region no matter the kind of cuisine. We had 5 main dishes and even the tofu was a hit.The service was at least as good as the food. Everyone was more than accommodating and we were all very happy with the experience. Definitely a place to keep coming back to.

If it was possible for me to give a negative rating for this restaurant I would. Not only did they not accommodate a food allergy they went out of their way to tell us that there was no sharing of food from the buffet. The food was Bland and tasteless and the staff we're rude and unhelpful. Do not waste your time or money here.

The food was cold, and was only changed after I let them know and it was during a super rush. Not satisfied with the food, some of it was good but majority was cold.

Decent price for all day buffet. We have ate here a few times. Of course it is best to go at a busier time, more buffet options. Very tasty food. Staff is friendly

So good! Must have upgraded the desserts, because tonight they were perfect. Food perfect, busy but service fast and friendly. Treated with respect. New years, was one of the best nights at new star, keep up the great work. The flavour was on point tonight. :) yum.

Great place to get a fast meal at reasonable price. Excellent quality and all you can eat. Chinese all you can eat buffet, prepared and cooked fresh all day. Casual dining, shorts or suits are all acceptable. Group tables for hosting office or family parties. Fully LLBO licensed. Highly recommended.

Dont waste your money. Service was terrible for takeout, was not checked on once. I was advised 15 minute wait for a single order and took 40 before the waitress stated they were packing my meal.The chicken fried rice is oil and soysauce with chicken bits, sweet and sour chicken balls are 90% dough, and chicken chow mein contained no flavor. I could have done this at home and probably do better!

My family and I really enjoy the fantastic friendly service and delicious food. Good job, keep it up and hopefully we will get to enjoy a New Star Restaurant in Petawawa one day!

never had a problem with this place...taday well..everything was old....not stirred...2 items in buffet had been in steam table so long it was burnt to the pan...fried rice was crunchy...i love this place and very disappointed..we mentioned our unhappiness and was only givin a blank stare..this happoned just before 1 pm...so there should of been fresh food still coming out...but no one touched the buffet.....

I ate here last year when I was back home visiting and I was very impressed with this restaurant. Food was amazing, service great, very nice dining experience. Highly recommend you try this place when in Pembroke. Recommended all the way from Oakville, Ont.

The buffet was excellent, and priced very reasonably, and they have freaking onion rings! It's not top shelf chinese, but pretty freaking delicious for all you can eat.

There's no personal feelings you keep treating and targeting a certain individual that comes to this restaurant to enjoy a great meal that you keep harassing and constant staring and speaking about him amongst everyone else the rest of the costumers that day seen it all and does not appreciate it what took place.You do not know him from a hole in the ground other then go by what rumors or gossip you have heard learn to be more professional by the way iam the one that put the review up that was sitting opposite to him across the room have a great day.

Great food, great service

Never been disappointed with food from New Star.Always greeted with a welcoming smile whether waiting for take out or being seated.There are plenty choices at the buffet and freshened up all the time.The only thing embarrassing is me walking back to my table as people check out the mound of food my plate. ;)

Greatest won ton soup

Like this Chinese. They are best in Pembroke. Only drawback is their buffet gets depleted quickly and sometimes are slow on the fill up. Good food!

Good food ...reason for 4 stars could be a bit cleaner and modernized

This is the only Chinese place that I will eat at the food is absolutely delicious and I know the owner personally. The staff is always very friendly.

We had a delicious dinner buffet at a reasonable price loved it.

Air duct or vent on the celling are dusty you would believe it. Not acceptable for a Restaurent at all. Dont you realise you have open food right below it. Were not in the city that s for sure. 5 stars lolll

I love this place. One of my favourite canadian chinese food restaurants. I love their fried chicken and their eggrolls. Always smiling and polite. The decor is a bit dated but aside from that - adore. :)
